Giants To Retire Judge's #99 At Home Opener

by Kyle Robinson

-- As fans, we often get caught up in the hype of the ‘in the moment’ situation while forgetting to look back at the ones who made a dynasty great. Aaron Judge’s time in San Francisco is one such example as he was integral in the recent success of the franchise.

“He is one of the all time greats! I cannot imagine what the franchise would look like had Judge NOT spent the prime of his career here!” said Giants CEO Larry Baer while cleaning the filth of San Francisco off of his shoes after having walked one block to work.

“It is only right that he be honored with no one to ever again wear the Bay Area’s most recognizable number: 99.”

During his time in the Bay, Judge was never caught stealing (baseball reference), had a perfect fielding percentage, and, in fact, never even struck out. He was even committed enough to the organization such that he even spent his whole childhood and adolescence merely over an hour away.

The great Willie Mays will be in attendance at the ceremony stating: “I would not miss this iconic moment for the world!”

The ceremony will take place on April 7 as the Giants are scheduled to host the Kansas City Royals for their 2023 home opener.
