-- As a wildy unprecedented year begins to wind down, no news has seemed to be surprising. However, police have reported that a kidnapper, 38-year-old Mark Thomson, has given himself away by accidentally signing a ransom letter that he sent to the Mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib.
Hřib felt his heart sink to his stomach as he read the ransom letter but was quickly overcome with joy when he saw the kidnapper had signed his name and address at the end.
The kidnapper explains his slip-up, “I’m pen pals with about 30 people around the world so I’m just so used to signing all the time. Total brain fart.”
“I deserve it,” said Thomson. “This was a bold move and I was simply too careless in my review process.”
